The collection contains record label and pressing orders made by Columbia for its own use as well as for the United States government and various other clients; record label copy sheets; press releases, promotional information, and advertisements for Columbia releases; recording studio job sheets (which contain important information about studio sessions such as program titles, master numbers, date and time of recording, and names of the studio and recording engineers); and lists of records to be cut-out of the catalog and records to be scrapped.
